Two owner-operators, one partnership group. Whichever of them turns up, it is the same company, the same standards and the same number. Company-owned. Tom brought Eden Window Cleaning into the round; it is named here, not a franchise brand.

Ash
Owner and operator
Ash founded Smart Water in November 2021 after serving in the Army and working in construction. He wanted to build something of his own, so he got out there and did the graft.
He’s built a substantial round through hard work, a good reputation and customers passing his name on. Turning up, doing a proper job and treating people well might not sound like a grand business strategy, but it’s the one he’s put the hours into.
And there’s usually a bit of banter along the way. Ash takes the work seriously, but he’s never been shy of a chat and a laugh with customers out on the round. Clean windows and a bit of personality. You’re allowed both.
A massive gym-goer, Ash has the arms for the job too. Those windows aren’t going to clean themselves.
He’s still on the tools with the team and remains the familiar face behind Smart Water. If something needs sorting, Ash is someone you can speak to directly.
Tom
Owner and operator
Tom built Eden Window Cleaning into a well-established local business, with a substantial round and a team around him. He brings that experience, and a lot of time on the tools, into the partnership with Smart Water.
Building a round is one thing. Building a team customers can rely on takes just as much care. Tom understands both sides: getting the work in and making sure people are looked after once they’re on the books.
He also brings plenty of marketing experience and a feel for what matters to customers. Clear communication, reliable visits and a job done properly. Nobody wants to spend their afternoon chasing a window cleaner who’s apparently entered witness protection.
You might also spot some of Tom’s Facebook posts. We call it “out-of-the-box thinking”. Some days, we’re not entirely sure there was a box to begin with.
Alongside Ash, he’s an owner who still does the work. An established business behind him, a team beside him and the same practical approach to keeping customers happy.
How Smart Water started
Ash served in the British Army as a tank driver. After leaving, he moved into construction driving articulated dump trucks. Good work, but long hours building someone else's thing.
He wanted something of his own. A mate told him about window cleaning, and he founded Smart Water in November 2021.
He went on to build up over 350 regular customers of his own and dozens of five-star reviews. Most of that came through word of mouth. People tell their neighbours. That's the bit he's most proud of.
Windows, gutters, fascias, soffits, conservatory roofs. If it needs cleaning on the outside of your house, it gets sorted. He now runs it in partnership with Tom, which is how Smart Water Window Cleaning Ltd came about, and there is a team behind them both. Ash and Tom still work the round themselves; they are not sat in an office.
How we work
You get a message the night before to confirm we are coming. We turn up when we say we will. Do a proper job. Treat your house like it is our own. That is it. No gimmicks.
